It was another successful year for the Winter Drive Sober campaign in Manitowoc.
Manitowoc Police report that they put in over 460 hours of traffic enforcement, which resulted in 301 traffic stops.
62 tickets were issued, with three being for OWI. 207 other tickets were given out, along with 89 verbal warnings, five drug arrests, five felony arrests, and five misdemeanor arrests.
The Winter Drive Sober campaign began on December 13th and finished on January 1st.
Manitowoc Police encourage drivers to put safety first during the holidays and thanks the community members who found responsible means to celebrate the 2024 season.
