There will be a primary election for some seats in local elections in Manitowoc County.
In the City of Manitowoc, Incumbent Brett Vanderkin will be running against Ray Geigel and Andrew Dunbar.
Both challengers applied to fill the seat left by Vanderkin after an address change issue last year.
Because more than two people are running for the seat, voters will have to go to the polls on February 18th for a Spring Primary Election.
In Manitowoc District 3, Incumbent Mike Cummings will run against Angela J. Myers.
The only other contested race is for mayor, with Incumbent Justin Nickels facing off against Businessman Jason Prigge.
Incumbent Chad Beeman was the only person to file for District 2, while Brian Anderson was the only person to file for District 7.
Incumbent Todd Reckelberg will also be running unopposed in the 10th Aldermanic District.
In Two Rivers, Incumbents Scott Stechmesser, Bill LeClair, and Tim Petri want to retain their seats in the at-large election.
Former Councilmember Jeff Dahlke is looking to get his seat back, while Resident Andre Robitaille is looking to get on the council for the first time.
Three seats are available on the Two Rivers City Council during this election.
The 2025 Spring Primary takes place on February 18th, while the 2025 Spring General Elections happen on April 1st.
