A nature preserve in Brown County has announced a new event to be held next month.
The Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve Ale on the Trail event will be held on February 1st from noon to 4:00 p.m.
Attendees are asked to strap on their cross-country skis, snowshoes, or boots for the first annual event.
A 2.25-mile trek will be paired with beer samplings along the way.
Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beer will be available.
It will also be a family-friendly event with a scavenger hunt and kid-friendly samples along the way as well.
Those registered to attend will also receive a souvenir five-ounce mug for sampling.
Following the hike from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., a party will be held at Anaphee Brewery.
A portion of the proceeds raised will benefit Brown County Parks.
Pre-registration is required and can be found online at browncountywi.gov.
