A member of the SeehaferNews.com team has been named the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association’s Young Professional of the Month.
Eric Bauer has been a part of the news team here at Seehafer Broadcasting for less than a year, and in that time, he has proven to be an amazing asset.
On top of taking over the morning news on WCUB, he has also quickly instilled himself as a Sheboygan correspondent, as he lives in Sheboygan Falls.
Eric got his journey into broadcasting started at UW Whitewater, where he hosted a bi-weekly sports talk show for four years.
He also spent time as a play-by-play announcer, a skill he has transferred to his work locally.
Eric told the WBA that his advice for other young broadcasters would be to “work hard and never give up…I feel I can serve as a good example for anyone discouraged when looking for a job in the field. If you work hard and keep at it, good things will come.”
He also suggested that they never fear failure.
He noted, “No one is perfect, and mistakes are bound to happen. However, these mistakes will prove to be some of the greatest learning experiences for a young professional in the world of broadcasting.”
With this award, Eric is now eligible to be named the WBA’s Young Professional of the Year, an award News Director Ryan Brahm earned last year.
