Graduation day has been pushed back for some students in Sheboygan.
The Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) has announced its graduation will now take place on Sunday, June 8th, rather than June 7th as it was previously scheduled.
In a statement, SASD said the adjustment was necessary due to a scheduling conflict with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA).
State finals competitions for the WIAA boys track and field and boys’ tennis are scheduled to go through the 7th, the graduation’s original date.
Students from Central, Noth, South, Warriner, and Etude Schools will be on hand to graduate at Vollrath Bowl, for the yearly tradition.
Anyone with thoughts, comments, or concerns on the change is asked to fill out the SASD survey on the matter online which can be found at sheboygan.k12.wi.us.
