No one was hurt in a residential fire in Menasha.
Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue was called yesterday (January 13th) at approximately 11:30 a.m. to a residence in the 300 block of Lopas Street in the City of Menasha.
The initial call reported a residential structure fire with significant smoke.
Arriving fire crews discovered heavy smoke coming from the home’s roof ridge vent.
Once inside, firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the first-floor kitchen area.
Currently, the fire remains under investigation, but a cause was not given.
No citizens or fire service personnel were injured; however, extensive smoke damage to the home has displaced the residents.
The Town of Neenah Fire Department, Appleton Fire Department, Village of Harrison Fire Department, Menasha PD, Menasha Public Works, Gold Cross Ambulance, and the Winnebago County Dispatch assisted in the response to the fire.
