A local congressman has joined a new caucus aimed at government efficiency.
Sixth District Congressman Glenn Grothman announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he has joined the DOGE or Department of Government Efficiency.
According to CBS, the department, headed by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy would help cut billions in unwanted government spending.
It has not been officially tasked as a US government agency but is supported by President-Elect Donald Trump.
Grothman simply said in his post, “Along with President Trump, we will cut wasteful government spending.”
In a Fox News story, the Republican-led group wants to introduce at least one bill in the 119th Congress.
