Voting booths stand ready for use in a U.S. election.
Sheboygan residents will have a new election system coming ahead of February’s primary.
The City of Sheboygan has announced they have adopted Wisconsin’s electronic poll book system, the Badger Book.
The goal of the change is to enhance the security and efficiency of elections in the city.
The Badger Book is currently the only authorized electronic poll book to be used in the state.
It will also streamline voter check-in and registration, simplify the absentee ballot process, improve polling place flow, and more.
For poll workers the Badger Book will help with checking in voters, process absentee ballots, and facilitate election day voters.
However, the city has also stated that the use of the Badger Book is not mandatory.
Sheboygan is committed to ensuring fair, efficient, and secure elections, and they believe this adoption reflects this commitment while moving forward with modernizing election administration.
