Sheboygan County’s GOP is now under new leadership.
The county’s Republican Party held its 2025 caucus this past weekend and on Saturday (January 25th), Micah Pearce was elected as its new Chair.
Jon Dolson has also been elected as the new Vice Chair along with an entirely new Executive Committee minus Judy VanWattingen, the sole re-elected member.
The 31-year-old Pearce replaces the former Chair Russ Otten.
In a post on the Sheboygan County GOP’s Facebook page, the former Chair wrote on Pearce’s appointment, stating he is anti-establishment, referring to disagreement on issues such as abortion with the Wisconsin State Assembly Speaker, Robin Vos.
Also in the post, Pearce’s election has been met with both positive and negative responses.
However, with the new young Chair in charge, Sheboygan County’s GOP will be heading into the future with a new look.
