More than 70 cats have been removed from a home in Grafton after it was deemed unfit for living.
Authorities found the house lacked heat, gas, and water and had packages piling up at the front door.
After reaching out to the elderly homeowner, officials determined the home was uninhabitable and the owner could not care for themselves or the animals.
The homeowner was taken to the hospital, and the cats were surrendered.
The Wisconsin Humane Society’s Ozaukee Campus took custody of the 73 cats.
