A former ambulance is being used by the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office for a different purpose.
WBAY reports the ambulance, donated by Ascension Calumet Hospital during a special ceremony yesterday, will be used by deputies out in the field to make their jobs easier.
Sheriff Brett Bowe says the ambulance will be used as an evidence collection vehicle.
The Sheriff’s Office will also leave a drone they own in the back to charge.
Ascension Calumet recently bought a new ambulance and donated their old one to the sheriff’s office.
