A Chippewa Falls man has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Jason Barnard, 39, is accused of distributing over 50 grams of methamphetamine and possessing more than 500 grams of meth along with over 40 grams of fentanyl with intent to distribute.
If convicted on the first charge, Barnard could face between 5 and 40 years in prison.
A conviction on the second charge could lead to a sentence ranging from 10 years to life.
These charges stem from an investigation by the West Central Drug Task Force, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
