The new leader of the Republican Party of Manitowoc County is looking for more people to join.
Collin Braunel tells SeehaferNews.com that’s his big goal for the local Republican party while he’s chairman.
He’s hoping new members will eventually be able to take over leadership roles in the party, and he wants to help whoever’s interested.
“(I) offer my knowledge, mentor some people into those leadership roles as well,” he stated. “I’ve been chairman before, and I think that it would be a great opportunity for me to share what I know.”
Braunel says the party is focusing on the upcoming Wisconsin Spring Primary Election.
He says the local Republican party will support Brad Schimel for the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Britney Kinzer for State Superintendent.
He also wants to make sure the right people are keeping an eye on the election.
So far, Braunel says he’s happy with how President Trump has started his second term.
“He’s making good on his campaign promises,” he explained. “And also coming out strong in letting those other countries know that we’re not going to be walked on anymore and we have strong leadership.”
The new local party chairman says he has a great team to work with after a new vice chair and secretary were elected.
Along with a strong spring primary and more leadership, Braunel would want to see a full-time Republican party headquarters.
