Maureen M. O’Fallon, age 62, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life with family by her side on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Maureen was born on October 1, 1962 in Manitowoc to the late Lloyd and Betty Jane (Gruber) Popp. She graduated from Valders High School with the class of 1980. Maureen began working as a bookkeeper at the Manitowoc County Heath Care Center and was employed there for 20 years. She then went on to work for another 20 years at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers as an Insurance Authorizer for the Rehab Department from where she retired. On May 28, 1994, Maureen married Sean O’Fallon at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Alverno. She enjoyed spending her time beading, calligraphy, reading, playing cribbage and mahjong, taking weekend trips with her girlfriends, and logging the occasional hour or two on her iPad. Maureen also had a special place in her heart for animals – there was hardly ever a point in time that she did not have a dog or cat by her side. Above all, she enjoyed spending her time being with her family and friends.
Survivors include Maureen’s husband of 30 years, Sean; daughter, Emily O’Fallon; a special niece that was like a daughter to Maureen, Hallie (Jason) Steinberg, and their son, Lloyd John; three siblings, Mike (Jean) Popp, Jeanne (Lee) Matthias, and Mary Popp and her special friend, Joseph Horsketter; sister-in-law, Debbie Popp; beloved dog, Benny; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Betty Popp; daughter, Katie Lynn; two brothers, Danny and Gerry Popp; and two beloved dogs, Sunny and Poquita.
