
Two wrestlers from the Lakeshore will battle it out for a state championship Saturday night in Madison.
Junior Angie Bianchi of Two Rivers defeated Cailyn Whittier of Mukwonago by a score of 8 to 1 in the semifinals of the girl’s 120-pound weight class at The WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament at The Kohl Center in Madison Friday night.
Manitowoc Lincoln junior Emjay Neumann won by a fall over Devlynn Albrecht of Milton at 2:37 of the second period in the other semifinal.
Bianchi is 26 and 0 undefeated entering the championship match, while Neumann, the defending state champion at 120 pounds, has a record of 42 and 4.
The parade of Champions will be followed by title matches in all three boys’ divisions and the girls’ division, which are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
