
The stage is set for the 2025 WIAA Girls Basketball State Championship Tournament.
A few local teams punched their tickets to the Resch Center in Green Bay this coming weekend, including St. Mary Catholic.
The Zephyrs defeated Manitowoc Lutheran 65-54 on Saturday and were given the #2 seed in Division 4.
They will face off against #3 Durand-Arkansaw after the conclusion of the matchup featuring #1-seeded The Prairie School and #4 Cuba City at 6:35 on Thursday evening (March 13th).
Meanwhile, Oostburg also earned a #2 seed after rolling by Catholic Memorial of Waukesha 62-52.
They will face #3 Laconia, followed by the game between #1 Elk Mound and #4 Xavier matchup, which is scheduled for 1:35 on Thursday.
Opening up the Friday action will be the Division 5 matchup of #1 Assumption vs #4 Owen-Withee.
That game is slated for 9:05 a.m. and will be followed by #2 Lourdes Academy and #3 Barneveld.
The Division 1 Matchups will showcase #1 Kimberly and #4 Appleton East, who will do battle at 6:35 Friday evening, followed by #2 Arrowhead taking on #3 Muskego.
In Division 2, #1 Edgewood will take on #4 Rice Lake at 1:35 Friday, after which #3 West De Pere will face #2 Wauwatosa East.
