
Authorities in Oshkosh dealt with two shooting incidents this past week.
The Oshkosh Police Department received a weapons call on Wednesday (March 12th) in the 1100 block of Cherry Street at approximately 5:45 p.m., with the initial report claiming numerous gunshots were heard in the area.
Arriving officers located multiple individuals on the scene in a vehicle.
The vehicle was then searched, uncovering a handgun and marijuana.
As a result, a 19-year-old Neenah man was arrested and charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Marijuana, and Felony Bail Jumping.
An additional 16-year-old Oshkosh male was arrested and has had charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon by a Person Under 18 referred to the Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office.
Later the same night, at 10:35 p.m., police were then called to the 300 block of Dove Street for another report of gunshots.
A witness told police that they saw an unknown suspect firing several shots toward a residence before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

Oshkosh Police have said that, currently, it is unknown if these two firearm incidents taking place within five hours of one another are related.
