A trial date has been set for the man charged in the death of his cellmate at Green Bay Correctional Institute.
WBAY reports that the trial for 25-year-old Jackson Vogel would start on June 2nd, with a pretrial set for May 21st in a Brown County courtroom.
Vogel is charged in the death of Micah Laureano after he was found dead from strangulation in the cell that Vogel and he were sharing.
A criminal complaint says Vogel killed Laureano for his race and sexual orientation.
Vogel was also given more time to decide his plea.
He is serving a 20-year prison sentence for a Manitowoc County attempted homicide in which he was convicted of stabbing one of his family members in Two Rivers in 2016.
