A man is facing charges after he allegedly struck his wife at a Manitowoc grocery store.
Manitowoc Police were called to a residence at 8:00 Monday evening (March 17th) on a report of a physical and verbal dispute. Officers learned that the suspect and his significant other, whose age and gender were redacted, were at Rob’s Family Market earlier that evening.
The victim claimed the suspect became upset because he thought the victim was flirting with the man behind the meat counter.
The 32-year-old man then allegedly punched the victim, grabbed the victim, and drove them home.
The suspect told the officers that he had pushed his significant other, but refused to say anything else.
An employee at the store corroborated the victim’s story, saying there was blood “all over the floor,” and that they had witnessed the victim covering their nose as they exited.
The man is facing charges of Substantial Battery and Disorderly Conduct, each with Domestic Violence Orders, as well as Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
