
An arrest has been made in relation to a recent shooting in Oshkosh.
The Oshkosh Police Department has confirmed that they have arrested a 16-year-old female from Menasha in connection to the shooting incident that took place on Friday (March 14th).
As we previously reported, police were aware of the shooter’s identity but were unsuccessful in locating her at numerous addresses in both Outagamie and Winnebago Counties.
Authorities continued their investigation which ultimately led to them bringing the 16-year-old into custody, yesterday (March 17th).
The teen was transported to a secure detention facility where she is facing charges of First-Degree Attempted Homicide, three counts of First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and Cruelty to Animals.
On Friday, police were called to the 1000 block of Jefferson Street in Oshkosh on a report of multiple gunshots heard in the area.
Responding officers quickly learned that a specific home was targeted and that the shooter fled the scene before their arrival.
Following the arrest, the Oshkosh Police Department thanked the Menasha Police Department, Calumet County Sheriff’s Office, and the Brillion Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
