The Two Rivers Police Department are releasing information regarding a sex offenders’ release from prison.
20-year-old William Berlin Jr. has served his prison sentence and is not wanted by police at this time.
He will reside in the 1600 block of 24th Street and is required to follow the rules established by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC).
He will also be registered with the Sex Offender Registry Program for life.
TRPD says they have no legal authority to direct where Berlin is living and are limited in prohibiting residency in all cases.
Police release the information to not increase fear but rather keep the public informed.
Any abuse of the information from TR Police to threaten, intimidate, or harass Berlin will not be tolerated.
Berlin was convicted in 2022 of 1st-degree sexual assault of a child.
Additional questions can be direct to Detective Lieutenant Jacob Glaser at 920-793-5509 or by calling the State of Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry at 608-240-5830.
