School resource officers (SROs) have officially resumed their roles at Milwaukee Public Schools.
Following a week of specialized training, 25 officers and seven supervisors have been assigned to more than 10 schools across the district.
The SROs were initially expected to be in place by January, but the city was found in contempt earlier this month for failing to meet that deadline.
Both the officers and Superintendent Dr. Brenda Cassellius began their work on Monday.
