There is a new piece of artwork in the halls of a Sheboygan elementary school.
Sheridan Elementary School has unveiled a new mural which was painted by Isabel Castro.
Castro, a former Sheridan student, presented her finished work to students, staff, and parents during the school’s Art Show Family Night.
The event not only had the completed mural on display but also showcased the artwork of students of all grade levels while members of the 21st Century Community Learning Center performed traditional dances.
The new, vibrant artwork was a collaborative effort between both Castro and Sheridan art students.
The project was made possible thanks to an Artist in Residence proposal along with funding from the Sheboygan Public Education Foundation, the Sheboygan Area School District Art Department, and the school itself.
