An Appleton man is facing first-degree reckless homicide charges in a case that started about 15 years ago.
Fox 11 reports that 35-year-old Michael Donnelly was charged yesterday after an investigation determined he allegedly was part of a co-sleeping death after a night of drinking.
A criminal complaint says that Appleton Police were called to a home in April 2010 around 2:00 am for an unresponsive child.
The boy was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead.
An autopsy showed that there was no anatomic cause of death, but there was a pulmonary edema in the lungs and red marks on the child’s right forehead.
Donnelly denied drinking that night but later changed his story.
The first court date for him has not been announced yet.
