The Big East Conference Wrestling team was released Thursday. Two members of The Reedsville Panthers were named to the first team.
They are Abe Schmidt at 113 pounds and Wyatt Voeltz at 150 pounds. State-qualifier Owen Schacht of Mishicot garners first-team honors at 175 pounds.
In comparison, Carter McCall and Aaron Schorer of Elkhart Lake- Glenbeulah/Howards Grove are first-team wrestlers at 106 and 215 pounds, respectively.
Reedsville has three wrestlers on the second team—Ethyn Sebo at 138 pounds, Tristen Verbeten at 157 pounds, and Deegan Bubolz at 165 pounds.
Honorable Mention recognition was given to Mishicot grapplers Landen Pekarek at 138 pounds, Tyler Thelen at 150 pounds, and Parker Tulachka at 285.
Lacota Lisowe, 132 pounds, and Brennan Goble, 144 pounds, both from Elkhart-Lake-Glenbeulah/ Howards Grove, also received honorable mention recognition.
Debra Kuss of Mishicot was named female wrestler of the year, Nash Banko of conference champion Oostburg is the wrestler of the year, and his coach, Zach Rogers of The Flying Dutchmen, is the Big East Coach of the year.
