An icon landmark in Manitowoc is turning 82 this weekend, and the Wisconsin Maritime Museum is celebrating.
The USS Cobia’s 82nd Birthday Party takes place tomorrow (March 22nd) from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the museum.
Several activities will take place with the museum opening at 10:00 am followed by carnival games and a photo booth at 11:00 am.
A rubber ducky derby takes place at 1:30 pm and following that is the serving of birthday cake at 2:45 pm.
Admission is $8 all day tomorrow, although maritime museum members get in for free.
All the money raised will go toward dry docking and maintenance on the Cobia.
The Cobia’s dry docking is scheduled to happen in September this year.
