There is only one meeting scheduled to start the week in the City of Manitowoc.
The Public Library Board will be in the Board Room of the Library at 5:00 p.m. where they will give the public time to comment.
Then, after reviewing their financial reports, the group will discuss the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan and the executive order signed by President Donald Trump reducing elements of federal bureaucracy.
In a letter to the Board, Executive Director Karin Adams noted, “There are still unanswered questions about this order and its potential impact on federal funding for libraries nationally, as well as here closer to home…. While the Wisconsin library community waits for more information to emerge, any individual that would like to share the importance of the library in your life or how it makes our communities stronger, may contact our elected federal representatives.”
The full letter can be found on the City of Manitowoc website in the agenda for this meeting.
