The Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) has highlighted the work of students in one of its fellowship programs.
The Innovator Fellowship Program at Sheboygan North High School engages juniors and seniors to explore career paths beyond a traditional classroom environment.
Students will work to develop a passion-driven concept with help from fellowship coordinators to carry out a unique project.
This year’s fellows are North students Sofia Fields, Elizabeth Jelinek, Ella Spielman, Julia English, and Aoife Meyer.
Their projects include a storytelling project, a letter exchange program, and more.
To be accepted into the fellowship, these five students were required to submit their ideas, a budget proposal, and complete interviews.
The program, which was created in 2013, is intended to have students “dream big” and help them bring those dreams to fruition.
The program has been funded through partnerships with North High School, SASD, Acuity, and the Kohler Foundation.
