A living facility in Sheboygan is looking to address the senior living crisis.
The Sheboygan Senior Community has announced its “Next Chapter Campaign” to expand its campus by adding additional assisted-living apartments.
This plan will also include the construction of an independent living campus on the Sheboygan Senior Community’s property.
The expansion would include 38 apartments featuring studio and one-bedroom units, new entertainment and performance spaces, open-roof courtyards, and much more.
The estimated total for the project is projected at approximately $13 million.
The new facilities and amenities provided would be done to benefit both the senior community in Sheboygan County and the wider community.
Sheboygan has deemed there to be a housing crisis in the city, and this has hit seniors particularly hard.
With the “Next Chapter Campaign,” the Sheboygan Senior Community looks to assist the elderly with finding safe, affordable, and accessible housing.
