A man is facing charges after allegedly stealing a tablet from a Manitowoc manufacturer.
Officers were called to Manitowoc Tool and Machining on Monday (March 24th), where they were shown a surveillance video of a man entering the building through an unlocked service door at 7:15 a.m. on March 23rd.
The suspect then entered an office area, emerged a short time later, and left.
An employee reported that a tablet was missing a few hours later.
The suspect was later arrested by the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department on a separate burglary and was said to be wearing similar clothing to the man in the surveillance video.
The man, who described himself as a transient, admitted to stealing the tablet, but said he entered the building to find a place to use the restroom.
The man was charged with Burglary to a Building or Dwelling.
