The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay has unveiled a new partnership tailored to manufacturing students.
The university has recently announced that the Future Leaders in Manufacturing program will allow mid and small-size businesses to offer positions to Phoenix students to work and learn while in school.
This partnership will include Sheboygan County companies such as Sargento, Johnsonville, Masters Gallery, Pine River, and many more.
Manufacturing is a driving force in the state economy, contributing roughly 19 percent of Wisconsin’s whole economic output.
This is even more important to UWGB as more than 70 percent of graduates stay in the area after completing school.
Students who are selected for the program will gain this valuable experience at a minimal cost while making a respectable wage in various positions.
Additionally, participants will also be eligible to earn up to $5,250 in tuition reimbursement which is paid by the employer.
Manufacturing students interested in becoming leaders in their respective industries can learn more about the program by visiting uwgb.edu/career-planning.
