
Several local boys’ basketball players received accolades from the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association.
Roncalli Junior point guard Donovan Cowley, who had a breakout season for the Jets, was named to the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division Four All-State team Tuesday.
Cowley led the Jets in scoring this season, averaging nearly 19 points per game.
He was named a unanimous first-team All-EWC selection, leading the conference in assists and was second in rebounding as the Jets went undefeated in capturing the EWC crown and won 24 games this season.
Joining Cowley on the WBCA Division Four All-State team is senior Drew Daoust of Southern Door.
He finished his stellar career with the Eagles with 3,096 points, second all-time in Wisconsin behind Anthony Pieper of Wausaukee.
Also selected are seniors Glen Gruenwald of Howards Grove and Max Breitenbach of Kohler.
Sheboygan Lutheran sophomore Marion Bradley was an honorable mention selection in Division Five as the Crusaders advanced to the state championship game, and Oostburg junior guard Caden Dirske was selected honorable mention in Division Three.
