The City of Manitowoc is planning its annual spring clean-up.
The Streets and Sewer Division of the City’s Department of Public Infrastructure has released the dates when crews will be out collecting brush and yard waste this spring.
The first two weeks of the spring clean-up will be designated for brush while the following two weeks will be for yard waste.
Brush pick-up will begin on April 7th for properties south of the Manitowoc River and on April 14th for properties north of the river.
Crews will work from east to west until all brush piles in the city have been collected.
Residents are required to place brush piles on the terrace between the sidewalk and the road no later than 7:00 a.m. on Monday, the week of pickup.
Yard waste pickup will follow for the southern and northern portions of the city beginning on April 21st and 28th, respectively.
A parking ban will also be in place during the spring clean-up, prohibiting residents from parking near brush or yard waste piles between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on pickup days.
