
A total of twelve youth wrestlers from Manitowoc County are set to make the trip to Madison for the Wisconsin Wrestling Federation Kids Folkstyle State Championships.
The Whitelaw Warriors Wrestling Club tells SeehaferNews.com that the three girls vying for a state title are Faith Brusky, Aubrey Wilson, and Kenley Berglund.
As for the boys, Blayce Heimerl, Henry Bruening, Taylor Alfson, Clayton Lambrecht, Sam Klein, Benjamin Mediano, and Robert Mediano will all be competing this weekend.
Waylon Stockwell and Conner Palmer are also making the trip as alternates.
There are also fourteen wrestlers set to represent Mishicot.
They are Stella Skarda, Sawyer Klein, Lawton Haag, Sophia Richmond, Kode Kozlowski, Mackenzie Schleis, Eva Loberger, Ava Boursaw, Louden Smith, Scarlett Skarda, Rohlyn Robinson, Levi Hang, Jack Kacgrowski, and Ariana Schacht.
Qualifying from Valders are Vaida Donlon, DJ Schad, Micah Braun, Elijah Platten, Corbin Benter, and MacKenzie Trepasso.
Representing Reedsville will be Evalynn Schulz, Parker Gonion, Syris Schneider, Harlan Schulz, Eden Wilson, Kendyll Ebert, Phillip Gonion, Allen Parrett, Hunter Cahak, Mikaela Spindler, and Nolan Wilson.
Boys born between 2012 and 2015 will compete on Friday (March 28th) at the Alliant Energy Center, boys born in 2010/2011 and 2016/2017 will hit the mat Saturday, and the girls will wrestle on Sunday.
Tickets are available for $20 per day, or $30 for three-day passes.
Children up to 8th grade can get in for $10 for the weekend, and those under 5 years old get in for free.
