A police officer in Neenah has been fired.
WBAY reports that Owen Halls, a probationary officer with the Neenah Police Department, has been let go after being charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Neenah Chief of Police, Aaron Olson, was contacted on Monday (March 24th) by Jamie Graff, the Kaukauna Police Chief, who said they received an Internet Crimes Against Children tip with the suspect being Halls.
Following a review of evidence by the two Police Chiefs, numerous search warrants were executed yesterday (March 26th), which resulted in Halls being arrested and charged.
Halls, hired on March 25th of last year, was still on probationary status as an officer with the Neenah Police Department.
Halls’ case is not yet on the state’s online court records, so it is uncertain when his first appearance in court will be.
