Another drug take-back event is scheduled for next month in Manitowoc County.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office will hold the event on April 26th from 9:00 a.m. to noon in collaboration with Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital, the Manitowoc Police Department, Manitowoc County Recycling and Compost, and Healthiest Manitowoc County.
Those participating can bring expired or unused medications to Holy Family Memorial Hospital on the day of the event. Accepted drugs include over-the-counter, prescription, pet medications, controlled substances, and other supplements.
Pills are asked to be placed in plastic bags that do not exceed one quart.
Needles, sharps, mercury devices, and chemical waste are among the items that will not be accepted.
