
The Mishicot softball team went into extra innings during their first game in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
The Indians faced Manchester in the first game of the Ripken Experience, a game that was tied 0-0 after 7 innings.
Mishicot failed to plate any runs in the 8th, but the Panthers were able to break the 0-0 tie, and win 1-0.
The Indians will try to bounce back as they take on Xaverian of New York in game two.
The first pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. central daylight time this afternoon.
The Indians play one more game on Saturday morning before returning home.
Laconia and Ashwaubenon are also participating in that tournament.
Elsewhere, Notre Dame (Green Bay) continues their trip through Florida as they play North Bay Haven Charter Academy of Panama City and Denmark has a game at Ballard High School in Kentucky.
Meanwhile, Manitowoc Lutheran’s game at Valders has been postponed.
