One of the most anticipated signs that spring has sprung has arrived.
Peregrine falcons have made appearances at numerous WPS and We Energies power plants throughout the state as they get ready to lay their eggs.
The utility providers began installing peregrine falcon nest boxes on power plants in 1992.
So far, 453 peregrine falcons have hatched at their facilities, which accounts for 20% of all peregrine falcons born in Wisconsin.
It is anticipated that the falcon fledglings will make their grand entrance to the world in late spring.
Live video streams from the plants in Rothschild, Oak Creek, Port Washington, and Milwaukee are available online.
