A night of films celebrating THE OCEAN AND our Great lakes - 1
The Friends of Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary have announced a new program aimed at sharing the history of the Great Lakes.
The First Annual Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast International Film Festival will be held at the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance on April 4th.
The event is hosted in collaboration with the Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary, International Ocean Film Festival, and National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, and will feature short films highlighting surfing, shipwrecks, Great Lakes exploration and more.
Russ Green, Superintendent of the Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary, said of the program, “The films are really fantastic, and we hope will help inspire audiences to protect our special underwater places in the Great Lakes- and beyond.”
The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the films will begin playing at 6:30 p.m.
Film festival details, film descriptions and trailer, and free tickets are available at ShipwreckCoastFriends.org.
