A man from Kaukauna charged with killing his father is looking to change his plea.
Gregory Juedes, who turned 47 yesterday (March 30th), will be back in an Outagamie County courtroom on Wednesday (April 2nd), where his desire to change his plea to not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect will be discussed.
The motion to change the 47-year-old’s plea was officially filed in court by his legal counsel on Thursday (March 27th).
Juedes was arrested by the Appleton Police Department in November of last year following a police chase.
Authorities were initially called to the 1800 block of South Sanders Street on the report of a disturbance involving a weapon.
Upon arrival, officers located Juedes’ father, 74-year-old Daniel Juedes Jr., deceased with numerous gunshot wounds.
As law enforcement arrived on the scene, a male in a vehicle quickly fled the location.
A police pursuit followed, which resulted in Gregory being brought into custody.
Upon his arrest, Gregory was charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide, Fleeing/Eluding an Officer, and Obstructing an Officer.
