An electronic drop-off site in Kiel is opening today (April 1st).
The Keller Community Drop-Off site was closed for the winter but will be available to residents on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to noon.
Items like laptops, MP3 players, smartphones, and cameras do not require a fee to recycle, but bigger items like TVs, microwaves, and stereos will.
The recycling center will also accept bigger items like refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners.
However, items like oil-based paint, tires, and construction debris will not be taken.
Anyone using the drop-off site must have a City of Kiel mirror hanger to enter.
More information about the site can be found online at kielwi.gov/garbage.
