Multiple Manitowoc and Sheboygan County agencies are working together to improve their workforce.
The Chamber Manitowoc County, Progress Lakeshore, the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation, and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development are hosting the Lakeshore Community Job Fair this Thursday (April 3rd) at the UW-Green Bay Manitowoc campus, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Booth registration for businesses has already ended, but Chamber Manitowoc County Executive Director Abbey Quistorf explained on the Lakeshore Business Compass podcast, “This is just a really great opportunity for you to meet your future employees.”
Progress Lakeshore Executive Director Jamie Zastrow says the job fair is for everyone looking for a fresh start or a student looking to enter the workforce; it’s a great chance to connect with local employers.
But the job fair isn’t just for beginners looking for a job.
“A number of employers have a wide range of positions available,” Quistorf explained. “They might be a manufacturing company, but they might be looking for an accountant. So, you never know what kind of jobs might be there.”
Jobs offered at the fair will also be full-time and part-time.
