No injuries were reported during a commercial fire in Appleton.
The Appleton Fire Department responded to a business on Sunday (March 30th) just after 10:30 a.m. on a report of flames coming from the establishment’s roof.
Arriving fire crews observed smoke and flames emanating from a detached utility building’s roof.
Firefighters attacked the blaze from inside the structure as well as from the roof itself and were able to extinguish the fire within 30 minutes.
No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.
However, the fire is estimated to have caused $75,000 in damage to the building and its contents.
Currently, the cause of the fire remains unknown as crews work to investigate it.
Assisting the Appleton Fire Department in the response were the Grand Chute Fire Department, Appleton Police Department, and WE Energies.
