
Voting booths stand ready for use in a U.S. election.
There were three clear winners in the Manitowoc Public School District Board of Education race.
Ann Holson was the top vote-getter with 7,474 votes, followed by David Bowman with 7,215, and Mary Lofy Blahnik with 6,387.
They will take over the three available seats on the board.
The next closest candidate was Lisa Anne Krueger, who ended the day 1,045 votes out of a seat. Brayden Myer came in fifth with 4,585 votes, while Crystal Myer received 4,426.
The District also received some good news, as the voters approved the $25 million referendum, with 8,761 votes in favor and 5,871 opposed.
Meanwhile, in Two Rivers, the top four candidates were only separated by 382 votes.
Gary D. Shavlik received 2,617 votes, followed by Tim Klinkner with 2,430, only 3 better than Jennifer Hendrickson.
Rounding out the top four, and securing the final available seat on the board, is Lori Zimney, who received 2,235 tallies. Katherine Dahlke received 1,810 votes.
In Kiel, the voters once again rejected the School District referendum. 2,052 people voted against the $24 million package, while 1,321 were in favor.
