A woman who was bitten by a police K9 at Mayfair Mall in Milwaukee County last Friday has retained an attorney.
The incident, captured on several videos, shows 19-year-old Amirah Walls being bitten by the dog while its handler struggled to get the animal off her.
The Wauwatosa Police had responded to reports of a fight at the mall, which had already dispersed by the time they arrived.
Walls was attempting to stop three individuals from assaulting her friend when the K9 attack occurred.
Walls sought medical attention the following day.
Her attorney has suggested that the dog may not have received the proper training.
