A Green Bay man has been sentenced following a 2022 murder.
34-year-old Alejandro Cantu was ordered by Judge Thomas Walsh on Monday (March 31st) to spend 15 years in prison, followed by 10 years of extended supervision, for his role in the shooting death of Randall Denny.
Cantu was previously found guilty of Felony Murder due to a no-contest plea on February 5th.
The 34-year-old was initially scheduled to stand trial, alongside his brother Gustavo Cantu, before accepting the lesser Felony Murder charge, opposed to First-Degree Intentional Homicide, with which he was originally charged.
Gustavo was also found guilty of the same Felony Murder charge after a jury trial in February.
Both Gustavo and Alejandro received their charges in connection with the murder of Denny in Green Bay in April 2022.
Denny’s murder occurred at the intersection of Perkins and Western Avenues and appeared to be tied to a drug deal gone bad.
Gustavo will be back in a Brown County courtroom on April 22nd for his sentencing hearing.
