Jill Underly has successfully defended her position as Wisconsin’s state superintendent.
She defeated challenger Brittany Kinser, a former special education teacher and principal.
Underly, who was endorsed by Democrats, and Kinser, supported by Republicans, were the key contenders in this election.
Wisconsin is unique in that it elects its state superintendent, as the state does not have a state board of education.
