
While Susan Crawford was declared the winner of the Supreme Court race, most Manitowoc County voters were hoping for a different result.
With all 40 units reporting, a total of 18,596 residents of Manitowoc County cast a ballot for Brad Schimel, while one shy of 14,000 voted for Crawford.
Sheboygan County’s numbers were more of the same, with 25,130 voters choosing Schimel and 21,278 voting for Crawford.
Similarly, Manitowoc County backed the wrong horse in the State Superintendent race, with 17,812 votes being cast for Brittany Kinser.
Jill Underly, who won the race, received only 12,548 votes in Manitowoc County.
Sheboygan County had a similar result, with 24,225 votes going toward Kinser and 18,946 going for Underly.
