In the spirit of March Madness, the competition to find the best burger in the state is down to the elite eight, featuring some northeastern Wisconsin restaurants.
The Wisconsin Beef Council has been collecting nominations for the 2nd annual Wisconsin’s Best Burger Contest and determined the eight burgers across the state to move on in the competition.
Northeastern Wisconsin representatives in the elite eight include Mihm’s Charcoal Grill in Menasha, 11:11 Burgers and Beignets of Fond du Lac, and Local Press Burger Bar out of Kewaskum.
After narrowing down the field, a secret panel of judges will now travel to taste all eight burgers and score them.
The winner of the competition will be crowned Wisconsin’s best burger on May 1st to kick off Beef Month for the Wisconsin Beef Council.
