A Portage man has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for his involvement in a major statewide drug trafficking operation.
Angel Flores pleaded guilty to attempting to possess over 500 grams of cocaine for distribution.
The investigation, which began in late 2022 by the DEA and FBI, uncovered a large cocaine and methamphetamine trafficking ring operating in western Wisconsin.
Flores was found to be receiving and distributing drugs from a California supplier in cities including Madison, Portage, and La Crosse.
